Do you think a female mma can use “The Guard” against a male opponent in the street?
For example, if a big guy tackle Gina Carrano down, because of her jiu jit su training, she will immediately open her legs and wrap around him, going into the guard position but he might like this closeness and proceed to….you know what. So I don’t think that move is effective for a woman.
um you are very well uninformed! an untrained man in Gina’s guard will get his arm broken swept and pounded or his back taken and coked(probably to death). What you see in mma is two people who are trained in the ground art fighting styles. If this untrained dude was dumb enough to fight Carano he very well could lose a limb or life.
